Recommendations for Administration with Enteral Nutrition
carBAMazepine (Carbatrol, TEGretol)
Decreases absorption as adheres to tube, dilute with equal volume water, contains sorbitol
Suggest that total daily dose should be divided into 4 equal doses of carBAMazepine suspension. Dilute suspension with equal amounts of diluent. Monitor levels, jejunal administration may be less effective.
