Emsam medication guide


Emsam (selegiline patch) is designated as formulary, not generally stocked. If possible, defer initiation to the outpatient setting and encourage the use of the patient's home supply during hospitalization for patients receiving the drug at home. Please note that MAOI dietary restrictions apply to Emsam doses greater than 6 mg/day.

Selegiline ODT (ZELAPAR) is non-formulary, not stocked. If ordered the patient may take his/her own supply or the regimen may be automatically interchanged to regular selegiline. Regular selegiline tablets may be crushed if needed.
