Qualaquin medication guide

In response to the FDA safety alert, the P&T Committee has approved restriction of quiNINE to the treatment of malaria. If ordered for off label uses, the physician and patient should be informed of the FDA statement and encouraged not to use in the hospital. After a period of education, quiNINE use will be limited to malaria use only.
