Byetta Prefilled Pen: Byetta is a MULTI-use item. Make sure that only ONE pen is dispensed at a time AND it is TAMPER TAPED. Each pen should be dispensed in a plastic bag with the bright green (or other neon-colored) label attached that says:

          BYETTA is a MULTI-use item

          Store at patient bedside.

          Discard Date:__/__/__ (30 days after dispensing)


Bydureon is a long acting form of the drug dosed once weekly.  Non-formulary, not stocked.  Defer use to outpatient setting. Inpatient may use their own supply if judged necessary.


Bydureon BCise is non-formulary. Inpatients may use their own supply if needed.
