Erythomycin IV dose standardization: For GI motility use ONLY - interchange doses 100-399 mg to 250 mg AND doses 400-650 mg to 500 mg.
Tachyphylaxis may occur from serval days to weeks after initiation, if it appears not to be adding any clinical benefit, the pharmacist may recommend discontinuation.
