Comments:

Formulary, restricted to Emergency Department providers for treatment of refractory nausea/vomiting. EKG required prior to administration if patient is known to be receiving any high-risk QTc prolonging drugs. EKG required after the first dose before patient receives repeat doses. Maximum total dose is 2.5 mg per 24 hours. Refer to ED Droperidol Criteria for Use for approved doses and routes of administration.
