NovoSeven is classified as restricted to use by cardiovascular surgeons, emergency department physicians, hematologists, neurologists, neurosurgeons, vascular surgeons, and trauma surgeons for any of the following situations:

  1. Emergent reversal of warfarin or oral direct factor Xa inhibitor induced serious, life-threatening bleeding in adults.
  2. For those adults on those anticoagulants requiring emergent surgery.
  3. Life-threatening bleeding unresponsive to alternative therapies.

 

Round weight based dosages to the nearest 1 mg.
