Cimzia medication guide
CIMZIA is classified as a FORMULARY agent, with inpatient use restricted to GI physicians for rare cases of pre-surgery treatment of Crohn's disease or those severe cases not responding to conventional therapy. Initiation of therapy or regular maintenance doses should be deferred to the outpatient setting whenever possible. CIMZIA may be used in the Outpatient Medical Department.
CIMZIA is classified as NON-FORMULARY for the indication of RHEUMATOID ARTHRITIS. Initiation of therapy should be deferred to outpatient therapy, and regular doses should be postponed to after discharge. If a dose is necessary for an inpatient, the patient may use their home supply.
