Classified as non-formulary, not stocked. Oral drug for treatment of renal carcinoma and some types of gi stromal tumors. Only available directly to patient through a specialty pharmacy. Initiation should be deferred to the outpatient setting. Patients already taking the drug should use their home supply while in the hospital.
