April 2015: Cysteine used for pediatric parenteral nutrition is on shortage. To preserve our supply, we will reduce the cysteine supplementation in PN to 20mg per gram Trophamine. We will also batch cysteine for qualifying pediatric patients on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. To qualify a patient must meet all 3 of the following:
1. Less than 1 year of age,
2. Receiving PN for greater than 3 days
3. Receiving less than 3g/kg/day of Trophamine
