Subject: IV acetazolamide (DIAMOX) backorder

 
AcetaZOLAMIDE (DIAMOX) 500 mg injection is currently on backorder. Return date is late December, however, we do expect to run out before the end of this month. Since there are no other IV carbonic anhydrase inhibitors, please work with prescribers to change to PO acetaZOLAMIDE where possible and to discuss alternative, indication specific IV agents if necessary.
