Subject: Thurs, Oct 15: Suppressing Some Drug-Allergy Alerts in Cerner for Opioid Analgesics
Based on feedback from providers and an analysis of alerts in 1Chart, effective tomorrow afternoon (Thursday, Oct. 15), we will begin suppressing drug-allergy alerts for specific products within 1Chart. We are hopeful this should ease some alert fatigue burden experienced by both provider and pharmacy staff.
Suppression of Allergy Alerts will be activated for each of the following medications listed below. Items highlighted in BOLD are allergy alerts already suppressed in the system for the drug—I am including them just as reference.
