Subject: Valproate Sodium Backorder

We are on critical shortage of valproate sodium with only 5 vials of 500mg left at HH Main. I have alerted the UBs with active orders to find alternatives. For any new valproate orders, please let the ordering provider know that this is currently unavailable. Valproic acid 250mg/5mL syrup cups are available for tube routes.
