Subject: Re: Cross Training and Cross Staffing at Madison Hospital

Good Morning,

Madison Hospital is in need of a pharmacist(s) to cross train and help cover a 0.6 FTE pharmacist vacancy until the vacated position is filled (internally/externally).

These are some options (not limited to, open to ideas):

1)Cross-training and picking up shifts/weekends at Madison on days/evenings/weekends off from Main (Hours staffing at Madison most likely extra hours coded to Madison).

2)Transferring to Madison as 0.6 FTE clinical pharmacist (4473); become part of the permanent Madison staff - pending interview with Chris Strickland.  Also currently interviewing external candidates.

3)Covering the 0.6 FTE over Madison [including their every 3rd weekend, in addition to your scheduled weekend at Main (i.e. scheduled 24hrs/week at Madison + your other shifts at Main to total whatever FTE you are currently coded)]. Hours worked at Madison will be coded for Madison.

4)Working as a group, we want a pool of cross-trained pharmacists that can work out coverage at Madison and perhaps help cover the vacated every 3rd weekend there by splitting the weekend coverage among the pool of cross-trained pharmacists, etc. Again, hours worked at Madison will be coded for Madison.

The last day of the vacating Madison pharmacist is 9/9/20. If you have no experience working at Madison and are interested in helping with coverage in the interim, please let us know (Chris Strickland, Wade Williams, myself) so we can work out the training schedule for you since it will involve manipulation of Main and Madison's schedules.

Thanks for helping out!
