Subject: Pharmacist Supervisor Opportunity- Retail

 

We are currently recruiting for a Pharmacy Supervisor in the retail pharmacy area.  The position will be Full-Time, first shift, and retail pharmacy experience is required. Previous leadership experience is beneficial but not required. Below is a list of key responsibilities for the role:

 

  • Performs all functions of an Outpatient Clinical Pharmacist
  • Serves as a direct supervisor for retail pharmacists and technicians providing evaluations, quarterly meetings, positive feedback, counseling/correction, and discipline as needed.
  • Serves as a resource for management of daily retail operations, staffing/scheduling, and adherence to departmental procedures in designated retail areas.
  • Ensures compliance with state and federal laws governing the practice of retail pharmacy
  • Collaborates with manager on employment process for retail pharmacists and technicians. Employment process includes recruiting, interviewing, hiring, training, coaching, disciplining, evaluating, and terminating employees.
  • Identifies goals and process improvement projects for designated retail pharmacy area and oversees completion and implementation of projects.
  • Develops, recommends, administers, and ensure compliance with department policies and procedures
  • Ensures compliance with third party payor standards. Reviews and corrects billing errors in a timely manner to avoid audits.
  • Leads efforts to implement and promote patient-centered services such as adherence counseling, immunizations, and medication therapy management.
  • Develops and maintains positive working relationships with members of the hospital leadership team across all departments.
  • Oversees drug procurement process for assigned area and demonstrates ability to manage inventory to a level which balances effective patient care with cost containment measures.
