Planned Unit Changes -
18 CSSM beds will reopen on Monday 7/20/20 for 24/7 care of NON Covid + and NON Covid PUI.
This area will be managed by Chris Thornton.
Andrea and team have done a great job to add PYXIS capacity to the CSSM2 device to allow for this transition.
IMPORTANT NOTE - At this time, all 36 beds are still designated as the CSSM unit but the use of these beds will change as follows:
Beds 1-18 will convert to CCU/PCU (initial plan is to designate beds 1-7 as the ICU beds) - beds 1-18 will be staffed 24/7
Beds 19-36 will be a traditional Cath Lab pre/post op area
SHRU beds 1-10 will be used as the EP pre/post op area
3NE will reopen on Monday 7/20/20 for 24/7 care of Covid + and Covid PUI.
This area will be managed by Catherine Brown.
We have a team adjusting PYXIS stock, labeling products for patient safety, and exploring options in Cerner to more easily differentiate if/when a patient is designated to be in an ICU bed.
