Subject: Resident Training Documentation

[Obligatory documentation email]... This applies to ALL pharmacists, not just residency preceptors.
If you believe your documentation is lacking for the 2019-2020 residency year, now is the time to start back dating.

Any time spent with the residents should be documented in Quantifi.
This includes resident training, topic discussions, review of applications, interviews, discussions with or about residents, etc. etc. etc.

There are 3 separate entries that could be utilized for documentation...
  • PGY1s: RESIDENT training or RESIDENCY-associated activities
  • PGY2s: PGY-2 residency activities
Please only use "RESIDENT training, or RESIDENCY-associated activities" for the PGY1s.  This is the documentation time I submit to CMS for reimbursement.
We do not get reimbursed for any of the PGY2 training, so it is important to not get these mixed up in the event of a CMS audit (which is happening NOW).

Thanks!
