05/28/20 rc Cannabidiol (CBD) OTC Products
May 28, 2020

The CBD OTC products available vary in dosage forms and strengths, and are required to contain not more than 0.3% THC.  Dosage forms include capsules, tablets, soft gels, gummies, liquids, balms, lotions, creams, oils, tinctures, and inhalations.  The recent approved formulary policy is that CBD OTC products will be considered non-formulary, not stocked, and per the HH Herbal and homeopathic medication order policy, can be continued as inpatient own medication if felt it is needed with a physician order to continue while in the hospital.
