Subject: Fwd: Tip sheets - Home Insulin Pumps at Huntsville Hospital

Hey everyone!

1. For patient
Home Insulin Pumps, the following linked tip sheet walks through how TOC staff will enter these within home med lists (Document Meds by Hx)
https://docushare.hhsys.org/dsweb/Get/Document-84447/Entering%20Insulin%20Pumps%20in%20Document%20Meds%20by%20Hx.pdf

2.  If a patient needs a refill of HumaLOG or Insulin Regular for an insulin pump from our inpatient supply, a Once order for an insulin vial will be placed for dispensing from Central Pharmacy .  Pharmacists should enter these orders by stating "For Insulin Pump Refill" in the dose and order comments.

Many thanks to Katie Varner, Erik Roberts, Michele Durda, and others for their assistance on this.  Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.
