Subject: Post Splenectomy vaccine powerplan is active

Thanks to Katie Varner for making a housewide PowerPlan for post splenectomy vaccine administration that can help the prescribers select the appropriate therapies.
 
Please note that generally these vaccines would be recommended to be given:  14 days prior to elective spleen removal or 14 days post splenectomy.  
 
NOTE: The surgeons/prescribers generally in my area add comments to their orders to "Give on Day of Discharge or 14 days Post Op."
