Subject: ceFAZolin (ANCEF) 2 g Duplex Backorder

Due to cefazolin 2g duplex backorder, PSP will begin preparing those doses for most non profile units at main. They will be placed on the carousel count in central pharmacy.

PSP:

Jackie and Erika: Begin making cefazolin 2 g/D5W 50 mL bags starting Sunday 3/12 . Refill to max of 60 each night (we may have to increase this, we'll keep an eye on it). You can give them 14 days refrigerated. It's not in pharmacy keeper, so just use MILT labels. Once made/checked, the M3 can them down to central pharmacy so they can be added to stock on the carousel in central pharmacy.

Please let me know if you have questions, thanks

Thanks,
