Concerning the Periop multimodal gabapentin orders:

To help ensure these patients do not receive gabapentin if they are 70 years old or greater, Katie with pharmIT has built order filtering by age on these orders.   If the patient is 70 years old or greater, there will be no order sentence to select upon initiation of the planned orders. In these instances, simply deselect the gabapentin and continue initiating the other appropriate orders.   For patients < 70, the order sentence is available for selection as normal.
