Subject: Alaris drug library update - pushed out this morning 12/26
To address an issue with a backorder, an updated library has been pushed out to the Alaris pumps.
To accept the new library:
1. Please be sure to keep pumps plugged in
2. Pumps that are plugged in and on will receive the new library in the background
3. The new library will be activated when the pump is cycled (turn off, turn back on and select "yes" to "New patient?").
4. Look for the new library name on the screen to be sure you have the most current library (HH 12.26.19). If your pump has not updated yet, plug it in and leave it on for about 5 minutes before cycling again.
Changes include a new volume of magnesium sulfate infusion (used in OB) due to a backorder:
adult library changes: Add magnesium sulfate 40 g/1,000 mL (same concentration as usual infusion 20 g/500 mL)
