Subject: Product note for select IV push antibiotics

In an effort to aid verifying pharmacists, the following Product Notes have been added to a handful of antibiotic vials when we administer lower doses IV push and higher doses as IVPB:

1. For Ancef, added: Intermittent ADULT doses of ceFAZolin greater than 2 g are given IVPB
2. For Mefoxin, added: Intermittent ADULT doses of cefOXitin greater than 2 g are given IVPB
3. For Rocephin, added: Intermittent ADULT doses of cefTRIAXone greater than 1 g are given IVPB

If you see a mismatch, you will want to void and re-enter the antibiotic using the appropriate sentences/options in PowerChart or Med Manager.
