There were questions from staff regarding the best way to enter this Povidone Iodine Skin and Nasal Swabs for MRSA Decolonization as these are supplied by Logistics and not Pharmacy.

 

For now, please utilize the ‘Wound Care’ order in Powerchart, select a frequency of ONCE, and ‘Body Site Wound’ of “Nares” and place the following details in Special Instructions:

MRSA Nasal Decolonization: Use povidone iodine skin and nasal swabs (available from Logistics) during mupirocin ointment backorder

 

Your Powerchart order should look like this:
