Pharmacist Deployment (M-F) Nov 2019

Pharmacist Deployment (Wkd) Nov 2019

HH-Main Pharmacists,

Reminder, starting this weekend all "Ws" will be 1130a-10p.  And starting Tuesday11/12/19, the new unit assignments go into effect.  The new PPM views have been built by pharmIT and will go active next Tuesday.  With any significant change, there is likely to be issues of concern or confusion. Please don't hesitate to report any issues to your supervisor or mangers. Also, any safety concerns can be sent to our safety guru, Michele Durda.  I have confidence that our skilled staff, working as a team, will excel in this system.

Until NSS training is complete and our clinical specialist are verifying through the afternoon, one potential "hotspot" on the new assignments will be the UB11.  From 1130 to 1330, the UB11 will be verifying for his/her team, plus the  ED.  If you are working the UB11 and need help, don't hesitate to call the UB12, UB8, etc... We will be keeping a close eye on this. The UB6 will cover the UB11's lunch.

Attached is the updated weekday and weekend/holiday assignments with updated phone #s and other revisions.
  • Sentri7 - based on the units you are assigned to provide clinical coverage for.   (example: see UB1 - 2E/6W/6MST)
  • Consults/Tasks - until all the UBs go through the NSS training (early 2020), this process will remain the same with the clinical specialist delegating task to the UB positions. After the NSS training is complete, UBs will take all consults/tasks from their assigned clinical coverage units. (Same as Sentri7 units)
  • Once NSS training is complete (early 2020), clinical specialist will verify for their unit(s) for the entirety of their shift.  It's a team concept and there will be times when the clin spec or the UB will need the other to help cover. Communication is key.
  • Effective 11/09/19 - All "Ws" will be 1130A - 10P
  • Effective 11/23/19 - The "tw" will become the "t", making the "t" 7 days per week
  • This is NOT set in stone. Adjustments will be made as needed.
Thank you,
