10/21/19 DC Will TJC be here in one week?
October 21, 2019

We are looking at October 28th-November 1st as a highly likely week for a TJC visit. As always when you have company, you want everything to look its best. Here are a few tips for this week:

    * UB/Clin specs - perform daily clean sweeps and report any violations to the nurse mgr/charge nurse; special focus on medication prep/storage areas and crash carts (see attachment)
    * Central pharmacists and techs - follow your central checklist to make sure that all is in order; special focus on cleanliness, removal of cardboard, expiration dating process, environment of care issues (sprinklers, exits, hallways, etc.) - see attachment
    * Emily/Julie - please visit all procedural areas during this week to make sure that all is in order; special focus on single/multi-use products, sharps containers, and labeling

It is important that we avoid any RFIs that result from low-hanging fruit...every RFI has to be "fixed" with in 45 days, whether it is minor or major.

Thanks for all that you have done and continue to do for TJC readiness. And, again...HAPPY PHARMACY WEEK!
