Subject: Tube Feed consults

I would like to clarify/restate a few things concerning consults for enteral management:

  1. For new consults (not currently on TPN) will be handled by the dietitian EXCEPT for STICU. Dietitian to inform STICU pharmacist of new order if STICU patient.
  1. For new consults (currently on TPN), pharmacist will handle these orders. Dietitian to inform pharmacist of order for enteral management.

This is not a change, just a clarification.

If you have concerns or additional questions, please let me know. Thanks for working as a team to provide quality care to our patients.
