Subject: Technician/ Support Staff Opportunity - Pharmacy Inventory Coordinator

 

 

 

We have recently been approved to fill 3 new FTE positions to coordinate pharmacy inventory supply chain programs.

We are planning to accept applications from both internal and external candidates at this time.

 

To be eligible, candidates must have a Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare, Supply Chain Management, or a related business field. Inventory supply chain management experience may be considered in lieu of the required degree.

 

 

 

 

 

Candidates selected for this position will coordinate with pharmacy management, purchasing, direct suppliers, wholesalers and GPO representatives as needed to address opportunities for improvement to our supply chain programs.

 

General duties include but are not limited to:

- Administers and optimizes inventory supply chain programs.

- Responsible for the ongoing evaluation and improvement of inventory supply chain programs, monitoring for compliance and intervening as appropriate.

- Participates in the establishment and monitoring of purchasing agreements/contracts as directed by the pharmacy management team.

- Effectively utilizes data to identify and lead improvements related to inventory supply chain programs.

- Coordinates initiatives and leads employees involved with inventory management programs and processes across a variety of areas (Main, W/C, Madison, Retail, BMT); and across a variety of platforms (PYXIS, Carousel, static shelving, refrigerated stock).

- Works closely with pharmacy coordinators and area supervisors/managers to identify opportunities to optimize inventory supply chain programs and improve cost containment initiatives.

- Responsible for informing stakeholders of inventory supply chain management programs - providing education and inservices as directed and/or requested.

 

Required Skills/Abilities :

-Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

-Works independently and prioritizes tasks (must demonstrate successful time management).

-Must be able to organize workload, accomplish goals, and meet deadlines.

-Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite programs.
