Another TJC hot topic is Antimicrobial Stewardship. They may ask you about our program as well as our results. Please see the attached educational piece that is used to educate our physicians about Antimicrobial Stewardship. 

Additionally, numerous resources for antimicrobial information are included in the 2019 Quick Reference Guide, pp. 29-38. A major part of this information is our Antibiogram. Please remember that there is both a hospital-wide antibiogram for Main, as well as separate one for ICUs at Main, and ED at Main; a facility-wide HHWC antibiogram plus one for just the pediatric units; and one for Madison. Due to our various stewardship activities (including restrictions on many drugs), our numbers have held very well.

Additionally, Quality Management has asked that staff do NOT pull policies/procedures/guidelines requested by surveyors. If such a document is requested of you, please call the COMMAND CENTER at 53237 and they will pull the requested document and deliver it to the surveyor.
