Subject: **Cerner Orders Not Crossing to Pyxis**

We have become aware of an issue with Cerner for NEW HIRES only (hired as of July 2019) where when an order if modified at time of verification (ex. product assign, change frequency, add a comment, etc.) then the resulting order does not cross to Pyxis for removal.

Any other standard action (Verify without any changes, Modify of already verified order, Copy of an order, entering a new order) cross to Pyxis appropriately without issue.

Cerner is actively researching this issue and working on a resolution.  In the meantime,

If you are a new hire…

If you are performing a modification (changing the order in any way or adding a product to the order) at time of verification on an order that would be dispense from a profiled Pyxis device, please:

  1. Void the order and Copy the order
  2. Have Pharmacist you are training with perform the modify/verify action (if applicable)

All Pharmacists (new hire or not): If you receive a call that an order is MISSING from a Pyxis device, any pharmacist can Modify the existing order in MedManager, add a “.” to the comment field and this will update the order to send to Pyxis appropriately.
