7-16-19 jh Calling Ordering Physician when adjusting orders in PowerChart

From: "Joseph Ho" To: "Pharmacists" Sent: Tuesday, July 16, 2019 1:00:51 PM Subject: Calling Ordering Physician when adjusting orders in PowerChart https://docushare.hhsys.org/dsweb/Get/Document-80807/image001.png https://docushare.hhsys.org/dsweb/Get/Document-80808/image002.png Hey everyone, You can call the Ordering Physician/Communication Type popup during order entry or discontinue within PowerChart by right clicking on the orders while still on your scratchpad and clicking on “Ordering Physician…” This allows you to choose one communication type (e.g. No Cosign Required) for some orders and a different communication type (e.g. Phone with Read Back) for others without having to exit the chart. This also works for discontinuing orders in PowerChart. Calling this popup is also often available when adjusting Admission/Discharge Reconciliation. Note, however, that discontinuing through MedManager goes to No Cosign Required automatically. Many thanks, Joseph Ho, Pharm.D.
