Subject: sodium bicarbonate 8.4% 50 mEq/50 mL syringe/vial

Sodium bicarbonate 8.4% 50 mEq/50 mL boxed syringes are on long term backorder. Previously, we have been sending/loading "sodium bicarb kits" that contain a sodium bicarbonate 8.4% 50 mEq/50 mL vial, syringe, needle, and alcohol swab in a bag labeled with a MILT generated barcode.

Beginning today, HH Main will no longer assemble these kits. We will only be sending/loading sodium bicarbonate 8.4% 50 mEq/50 mL vials for all future orders. Cerner and all appropriate Pyxis machines have been updated to reflect these changes.

Please let me know of any issues.

Thanks,
