Another item to add to the Huddles this week for Pharmacists.

For respiratory medications (nebulized solutions and inhalers), we want to make sure a ‘Respiratory’ frequency is selected for these orders so that respiratory tasks are created appropriately. Respiratory compatible frequencies are listed below:

Frequencies for Respiratory Medications

12 times per day (q 2 hr)

24 times per day (q 1 hr)

4 times per day (q 6 hr)

5 times per day

6 times per day (q 4 hr)

8 times per day (q 3 hr)
