03/06/19 SR -- Perioperative Tracking Updates

Subject: Perioperative Tracking Updates

I am hopeful these updates provide some much needed clarity! See below:

- A new column has been added to the pharmacy tracking boards "Orders PAT" (see screenshot)
- This green check icon indicates that pre-admit testing (PAT) has completed their tasks, including patient assessment and order placement
- This icon is the cue for the pharmacist that there is a phased power plan ready for initiation

IMPORTANT: (using the Pharmacy +1 filter)
- Before 1900: Initiate the medication phase for patients with green check in the "orders PAT" column
- After 1900: Initiate the medication phase for patients without green check IF there are orders (in a planned state) and you have all required patient information
- May use the Pharmacy +2 to +3 filter: ONLY if the patient has a green check in the "orders PAT" column

Let me know if you have any questions,
Sam
