Here is an update on the Top 5 issues from your 1Chart team:

  1. Do Not Select “Blank Encounters” - As a result of data migration problems, there are a lot of “Blank Encounters” that are showing up on a patient search. These are encounters that have no FIN number. The entire line across the page is blank.

Be certain to select the encounter that matches the visit that you are working with, whether that ne for documentation, orders, charges, etc… All data entered against these blank encounters will have to be migrated to the real encounter. We are working to clean this up, but it may take a few days to complete the effort.

  1. Proper Use of Imprivata (“Tap-N-Go”) - Some users are being abruptly kicked out of 1Chart. Most, if not all of these occurrences, are related to how users are utilizing Tap-N-Go. After a user "Taps In" with Tap-N-Go, they should NOT select the 1Chart icon on the desktop. Instead, they should select the icon of the solution they need to use (PowerChart icon or the other appropriate solution) from the desktop. They also must "Tap Out" when they are done at that computer. If User1 does not "Tap Out", the next user (User2) that uses that machine will be using User1’s desktop as previously loaded. Then, if User1 “Taps In” to another computer, User2 will be kicked out. Please see the tip that is posted on PULSE and in the FAQ folder.

If you are NOT a registered Tap-N-Go user , you should continue to use the desktop 1Chart icon on the desktop.

  1. E-Prescribing – E-Prescribing is working. If a provider you are working with has not tried yet, please suggest to him/her that they try again. If they have problems with it then, please call the command center at 5-0333. The most likely cause is an incomplete record in the e-Prescribe solution for that provider. The requirements include their office address, phone number, fax number, NPI and DEA number. Once those fields have been added, the provide should be able to e-prescribe.

  1. Patient Name Cleanup – As previously communicated, there are instances where the same patient, but different names for that patient (i.e. a maiden name) for that patient shows up on the banner bar or on a patient label. This effort continues. It will be several days before this is completely resolved

  1. Incomplete Registrations – This is slowly being cleaned up, but there are still instances out there. If you encounter this, please call the command center at 5-0333 and we will work with the registration team to get it resolved as quickly as we can.
