Subject: Order Image and Metformin/IV Contrast Sheets - Reminder

Good morning!

Please remember to check Pharmacy Order Image periodically throughout your shift.

For IV contrast sheets faxed:
    * Please confirm there is NO Metformin on the active medication profile (and if there is, re-time prn). After this is confirmed, the image can be COMPLETED .
    * Why are still receiving these sheets? If Metformin is already on the patient's profile and IV Contrast is ordered (via ad hoc charting), a contraindication warning will notify radiology (not the pharmacist).
    * If IV contrast has been orderded/administered then Metformin is ordered, a pharmacist will get the contraindication warning and can re-time the Metformin.

Let me know if you have any questions about Order Image!
