Subject: Backorder: cefOXitin (MEFOXIN) 2 g vials

CefOXitin (MEFOXIN) 2 g vials (administered as IV push) are on backorder and we will deplete our stock this week. As a substitute, two cefOXitin 1 g vials will be used to give a 2 g IV push dose (similar to ceFAZolin 2 g IV push doses).

iCare and Pyxis have been updated to reflect this change. All three facilities, including OR areas in each facility, will make this transition during the backorder.
