Hello All,

It is that time of year again to start screening all HH-M/W&C/Madison in-patients and observation patients for the influenza vaccine. Huntsville Hospital Pharmacy does have the influenza vaccine in stock. Please have your staff start screening their patients on MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 17, 2018.

The Influenza Vaccine Core Measure (IMM-2) season is from 10/1/18 to 3/31/19, but to cover the patients admitted in September 2018 who may not be discharged until October 2018 we need to start assessing all the patients as they are admitted; thus the 9/17/18 screening start.

Attached is a flyer for you to print out and post on your units as a reminder. There has been no change to the Influenza Vaccine Order Set or the protocol.
