Subject: W&C IV preparation

The IV hood at W&C cannot be used at this time. Effective immediately, all IVs will be made whenever possible at either PSP or BMT.

W&C may prepare now and stat medications with a 12 hr BUD if necessary, must be given within 1 hour (W/C: Katie will send you more detailed info about this).

W&C will be sending staff when possible to PSP or BMT to prepare batches, stock bags, etc. They may also need PSP or BMT staff to prepare items if no staff is available to travel, or if an item is needed quickly. W/C will provide instructions if needed. If appropriate, meds prepared at main may be tubed directly to the nursing unit at W&C.

We are working to get the isolator set up at W&C tomorrow, but we hope to have the regular hood in place for W&C by the end of next week. In the meantime, please be patient and help each other as much as possible.
