Subject: Alaris drug library update - pushed out this afternoon
An updated library has been pushed out to the Alaris pumps. To accept the new library, please be sure to keep pumps plugged in. Pumps that are plugged in and on will receive the new library in the background. The new library will be activated when the pump is cycled (turn off, turn back on and select "yes" to "New patient?"). Look for the new library name on the screen to be sure you have the most current library (HH 7.9.18). If your pump has not updated yet, plug it in and leave it on for about 5 minutes before cycling again.
New library name : HH 7.9.18
Changes include:
- protamine (ADULT): add 50 mg/20 mL and ____ mg/____ mL concentrations; remove 100 mg/10 mL concentration
- telavancin (ADULT): new drug added
- ANGIOMAX (ADULT): for CATH/OR entry, added 175 mg/35 mL concentration and ____ mg/____ mL concentration
- tranexamic IVPB (ADULT): new intermittent entry for tranexamic acid, includes both mg and mg/kg dosing options
- clindamycin (ADULT): added ____ mg/____ mL option
- lidocaine load (ADULT): new intermittent entry for lidocaine, includes 100 mg/100 mL IVPB and ____ mg/____ mL IVPB
