Subject: IV dilTIAZem shortage update

All,

We are once again running critically low on IV dilTIAZem. We have enough vials to make approximately 10 drips and then we will be out. The next allotment is not scheduled to be in until July 15th. Remember that alternatives are PO CardiZEM, IV metoprolol scheduled q6h,  and esmolol drip. PO CardiZEM and IV metoprolol are the least expensive, while esmolol drips are ~ $300. An email will be sent when new information is available.

Thanks,
Sara
