Subject: PYXIS ES and A-Systems Upgrade
In preparation for our Cerner conversion this fall, we will be upgrading PYXIS ES and Anesthesia System software during the week of July 9th.
BD/Carefusion server upgrades will occur on Tues July 10th. Individual PYXIS ES Stations and A-systems will be placed on override during the server conversion. No expected unit "downtime" on this day.
Between Wed July 11th and Sun July 15th we will schedule individual PYXIS ES stations and A-systems to be upgraded to the new software version. Your unit device will be down during your scheduled upgrade day/time.
Pharmacy, nursing and anesthesia representatives are in the process of working out a master schedule to convert 10-15 locations every 3 hours until all areas are up and running on the new software. This schedule will be distributed on Mon July 9th at the 1PM multidisciplinary meeting. We will also answer questions you may have at that time.
