Please share the attached info at your November nursing staff meetings.

The TJC duplilcate PRN issue is BIG and is one of the most cited issues in 2017 surveys. A recent audit found that 13% of charts contained a duplicate PRN order, with pain meds, eye moisture meds, constipation meds, and N/V meds leading the way. Please check the patient's med list before signing off orders to make sure there are no duplications.
