Hello All,

Monday, September 18, 2017 is Huntsville Hospital’s official start of the Influenza Vaccine season for in-patients/observation patients. Please start screening your patients on that date. Remember to use the one-page INFLUENZA VACCINE PROTOCOL ORDER SET and also document the vaccine information in the EMR Admit Assessment. Remember that “N/A” (not applicable) is not an appropriate answer to the patient’s flu vaccine status from 9/18/17 to 3/31/18 and “Not available” is used only if HH Pharmacy does not have any flu vaccine in stock (staff would be notified if this were to happen).
