Drug Shortage -- erythromycin injection backorder -- 31 Aug 2016

Erythromycin for injection is on backorder with no scheduled release date. We will be out of drug in the next few days. Please begin working on getting orders discontinued. As you know, dexpanthenol (ILOPAN) is still unavailable. Potential Alternatives: *metoclopramide *oral erythromycin *IV azithromycin (very limited data indicating efficacy similar to erythromycin) *cisapride (available only through restrictive REMS program)
