4/6/26 Critical Drips: Update to 'NOW' First Dose Priority 4/6/26

April 6, 2026

This afternoon PharmIT will be updating a majority of critical drips included in the taper and titration guidelines to default a “NOW” first dose priority.  The goal of this update is to have these orders appear higher on the PPM for quicker evaluation/verification at time of order entry.

Heparin, argaTROBan, and bivalirudin (Angiomax) drips will be excluded from this update.

Major thanks to Hailee Gallaway for submitting this idea! If you encounter any issues with this update, please let us know.
