3/10/26 What's Cooking in Central - Intelliguard and Alpha Gal Updates
March 10, 2026
All,
Our second Intelliguard box or "easy bake oven" as we like to call it is up and running.
This second box is located in our surgery tray area and will be used to refill kits and trays that were previously on RxVerify. No more hassle of scanning every single vial to refill a kit/tray.
The two Intelliguard boxes work interchangeably meaning whatever is tagged/refilled on one box can be used on the other.
With all of our surgery trays now on Intelliguard, we no longer have a separate Alpha Gal tray. Every Anesthesia tray is now alpha gal safe because we can control what NDC is approved for use in the software. In the event, an alpha gal tray is requested - please first evaluate if truly required and if a tray is deemed necessary instruct the staff to utilize an anesthesia tray from pyxis. They will not come to Central any longer to sign in/sign out a tray.
Let me know if you have any questions.
