Pharmacists,

Several week ago we activated a rule in Cerner that was designed to catch pharmacist/provider timing errors by generating a "Discern Alert" if the ordered medication was timed to start >26 hrs in the future. When it went live, we got a lot of feedback about false positives including tapering orders, day of the week orders, weekly orders, etc. PharmIT has done a lot of work to mitigate these issues and we believe that it is working well now with much fewer false positives. The new version of the rule will go live sometime later today.
