11/10/25 Tdap adult/adolesecent (Boostrix): Auto-Verify Disabled

A medication safety event recently occurred in the PEDS ED where a Tdap adult adolescent vaccine (Boostrix) was ordered/auto-verified/administered to a patient <7 years of age—this vaccine is approved for patients >=10 years, with a limited indication for patients >=7 years. 

 

To prevent this going forward, we have decided to disable auto-verify for this vaccination.  This has been applied in PROD.  Please let us know if you encounter any issues with this change. Thank you.
